I have been in isolation for the past week which has been very frustrating seeing as how migration is now in full swing. I have been doing my best to take notes of all the birds I see from my yard but it is not the same as being able to get out in the field.
The upside is I have had lots of time to go through my photos and do some post-processing, choose the ones to keep and clean up some disc space for future images.
This week I’m sharing some images I took a few weeks ago of a Great Grey owl after a successful hunt for its breakfast. I intentionally left out the gruesome ones. This owl wasn’t bothered by my presence and clearly had no problem finding a fat vole under the snow. I have to say it is such a privilege to be able to see these amazing birds in the wild.
