Wide-Angle Fox Photos

Last year I was encouraged by a fellow photographer to try and use a wide-angle lens to shoot wildlife. This means you need to get very VERY close to the wildlife to get that interesting distortion that can happen. Most of the time this is achieved by using a trail camera however I thought I would give it a try with the curious fox kits at the local landfill.

While it was difficult to keep them in view I managed to get a few interesting images. I will definitely be trying this technique again with some other critters. Perhaps ravens or other curious locals.

Not all of these images are taken with a 35mm lens as foxes are still pretty leery of humans which is what I want. Perhaps some work from a blind is in order…
That’s all for this week. I hope that you all have a great weekend and we’ll see you next Sunday.
