A Good Scratch

As many of you know we’ve had a pretty cold January this year. In Yellowknife, temperatures were generally between -35º and -42º C before counting the windchill. Let me tell you this does absolutely nothing to encourage me to get outside. I did venture out a few times to check in on the foxes I hang out with. They were in no hurry to move about, staying curled up in the sunshine and out of the wind.

I captured a few images of this fox having a good satisfying scratch right before my camera froze up. Needless to say, it put a damper on my enthusiasm for extreme wildlife photography! I am looking forward to some warming weather and an opportunity to get out and capture more wildlife. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy these photos as much as this dog is enjoying his scratch!

Have a wonderful week everyone!
