Halloween Leftovers

Welcome back to the Sunday edition!
I finally had a chance to get out and do some wildlife spotting a couple of weeks ago. It was pretty cold and windy and I haven’t had much luck seeing foxes around of late but we are never short of ravens around here. The landfill is always filled with ravens and you never know what sorts of treasures they will dig out of the red tickle trunks that folks toss the things they no longer need or want.

This raven popped up onto the railing from one of the red bins with something that looked familiar… a little black plastic wrapped rectangle. Hallowe’en wasn’t that long ago and let’s face it, sometimes we just can’t eat all the leftover candy.

From what I observed, this juvenile raven was pretty happy to score a mini mars bar practically taunting me with it before flying off.

Who knew ravens were fans of chocolate?

Thanks for stopping by. We’ll see you here again next week!
