As promised, I’m going to try sharing more video. I have a lot to still to learn about shooting video with my DSLR but I am working little by little to learn the skills I’ll need to one day make a short film about my wildlife experiences here in Yellowknife.
Right now I am working at collecting short clips between 15 seconds and 2 minutes. At some point, I’d like to be able to edit them together. But one thing at a time! This is one of my first attempts at video back when I knew absolutely nothing about appropriate shutter speeds or how they affect the way a video looks so just used my iPhone!
I’m sure you remember seeing earlier posts of the foxes from the downtown den. Here is a short clip from earlier this year of one of the kits playing with his grand prize – a vole left for him by one of his parents. Playing helps foxes hone their stalking, leaping, listening, and targeting skills while building muscle and coordination. Plus it looks like its just a whole lotta fun.
